The Quiver Tree Forest is located on the R357 out of Niewoudville on the road to Loeriesfontein. The turn off is clearly signposted. It is located on private property, but access is permitted free of charge to visitors. The access road is a good quality gravel road. It can get slippery after heavy rains, but remains passable in a sedan vehicle. There is accommodation on the farm Gannabos.
The forest is located south of the road on the hills and valley bottoms. In spring the valleys are covered in a carpet of colour when the flowers are in full bloom. The Quiver Tree (Aloe dichotoma), however flowers in June/July, before the spring flowers. This area is quite a unique area as it is an area where several of the succulent regions converge. The Knersvlaklte, Bushman-land and Namaqualand succulent regions are all in close proximity.
